To the loyal readers of my blog...sorry i'm slacking.

Hello to those few of you who still check my blog. :) I thought it was about time I update. I can't believe it's been since July! So what's new? Hailee Started 1st grade! It's amazing to me how much she has grown up lately. She started a new charter school and it's been REALLY good for her. She's already reading at a 2nd grade level! At her first parent-teacher conference, I was kind of wondering if the teacher had her confused with another little girl. The teacher told me that Hailee is, and I quote, "the sweetest little girl! She's so sweet and quiet" She even went so far as to suggest we get her tested for speech because the few times she does talk to her, she speaks very quietly and won't open up her mouth all the way. This was a HUGE change from what we were told last year. Her teacher last year basically said she couldn't get her to shut up! haha. So i'm going with the theory that she's just learning more this year. :) And the not opening her mouth up all the way thing is just what she does when she's intimidated. She HATES getting an answer wrong, or asking her teacher a question. So after the teacher was aware of it, I think she'll be better able to deal with it.

I also had to post the obligatory Halloween costume picture.

She was the cutest little batgirl ever! It's from my cell phone though, so it's not the best picture.

Hopefully I will have LOTS of pictures to post in the near future. We have all sorts of fun things coming up! I also know i've had a couple of little Hailee and/or Brian stories to blog recently that I can't think of, so when I do, i'll try to blog them. I know what you're thinking, but I will!!

Ok, So WHERE do I start??? First of all, it is a little late, but Hailee turned 6 on the 2nd! I can't even believe it! She had a little party with like 5 friends, and she had SO much fun. I of course forgot to get pictures, but what are ya gonna do?

She is the just the most amazing little girl, and I feel so blessed to have her.

Next...We went to Utah this past week to take Brian's brother Chris to the MTC. It was a little sad just kicking him out at the curb, but I guess that's how we have to do it now. We're all so proud of him though!

We got to spend some time with family, visit temple square and most importantly eat some amazing food! We played a little Chapel slappel too. It's a game we made up that is based off of the classic "slug bug" game, where every time we saw an LDS chapel, we slapped each other. haha. We were pretty bruised up by the end of the trip. And unfortunately, when the rest of us got sick of playing, Hailee did not. Poor thing, the only kid among a bunch of fuddy duddys. haha. Here are a few of the other pictures. Enjoy!

Happy Father's Day to the best dad EVER! My little girl is the luckiest girl in the world to have such a great dad. He is patient and loving and is always available to Play some Wii games, transform some transformers or even play "daddy jungle gym" which by the way, hurts. haha. She jumps, climbs and beats on him and he just takes it. I know he's not looking forward to the teen years, but with a dad like that, i'm pretty sure we'll all get through it just fine. :) I love you babe! Thanks for all you do!

I also had to post a couple of pictures of the Transformers skirt. A friend of mine picked up this transformers fabric and made a skirt out of it for Hailee. It's so her! She loves it. In fact, she pretty much hasn't taken it off since she got it. haha. It was very appropriate that she wore it to church on Fathers day. Oh, she had to get a picture of her transforming Optimus Prime too. I guess she didn't want anyone to think it was all talk. :)

Update!

Ok, it's been QUITE a while since i've posted...again. haha. So just to kind of update everyone a little, this is what has been going on.

~Hailee finished kindergarted!! She was SO sad. When I picked her up on her last day of school, she told me "mom. This is the saddest day of my life!" She keeps talking about how she doesn't want to be bored at home all summer. I'm not really sure what i'm going to do about that! We have a couple of trips lined up, but for the rest of the time I'm kinda stumped!

~Hailee started T-ball! She absolutely loves it! Just like we knew she would. She didn't really have a choice but to love baseball of course. You wouldn't really survive in our house if you didn't, but she loves being able to play. She has a little pink camo glove, and a pink bat. She's no girly girl though. She goes out there and gets DIRTY! She pretty much dives for (or on rather) every ball she ever catches. I should post some pics of that. I've been wanting to wait until her team gets their shirts, but it's taking a while, so I'll try to take some tomorrow.

~Last but not least, Brian has started doing the Honor Guard! This is the only thing I have taken pictures of recently! haha. His first assignment was the fallen officers memorials both at DPS headquarters and then at the state capitol this year. He was so handsome!! He was a little worried about getting too emotional, but he did great! I'm so proud of him! I also posted a picture of Pete. He's the K-9 who was named after Brian's dad. They introduced him this year at the memorial. He's VERY cute and friendly. It was so funny, he was howling along with the bagpipes all the way through Amazing Grace. What a cutie. Anyway, i'll try to get some pics of T-ball, and Hailee's dance recital next week!

Mom, what's this?

I knew I would have to explain this eventually, but I didn't think it was coming this soon!! I was doing dishes tonight, and Hailee was looking through my purse and pulling stuff out. She got a hold of my Ipod, my lip gloss, my library card, and the next thing I know, I hear "mom, what's this". I look over and she has a tampon in her mouth, and she's blowing on one end of the applicator trying to get the tampon to come out the other end! I of course start laughing hysterically, so Hailee says, "what?? Is it a telescope?" And she proceeds to put it up to her eye and try to look through it. So I sat her down and explained exactly what it was and what I did with it. Naturally she was horrified, but I think I explained it well enough, that she walked away from the conversation not TOO terrified of what's to come. Wow, I need to start being more prepared for these talks. She's obviously not going to wait as long as I thought she would to ask questions. And she's just way too inquisitive. She can't just take my simple explainations and be ok with them, she has to ask me EVERY little question, and WHY this and that happen, and WHERE things go...***SIGH***I guess I'll just have to deal with the fact that she's growing up. Anyway, just thought i'd share. haha

Field day

I just wanted to post a few pictures I took at Hailee's field day on Thursday. It was a little unorganized, but the kids had fun anyway! haha. Brian and I were in charge of the parachute for the 1 1/2 hours that Hailee was not out there which was SO fun, and SUCH a great workout! I remember doing the parachute when I was little, and I loved it! All the kids said it was their favorite part of the day. We got a few pictures of our little group going around to all of the different stations. I'm so glad I went. There were quite a few pictures of the tug-of-war, cause those kids were just so cute!

Yay Baseball!!

Anyone who knows our family knows that we get in as much baseball as our checking account will allow during baseball season, and this season we started early! We headed down to Tucson to watch the D-backs play some spring training at Tucson Electric Park. They played the Padres, and we had so much fun that we almost didn't notice how badly we lost!! Spring training games are so much fun! Everything is just so laid back. We sat right behind the Padres dugout, and while we would have much rather sat behind our dugout, it was still so fun to see the players up close. They were a lot of fun joking around with the fans and stuff. Anyway, here are some of he pics.

The D-backs cutest fan.
We're #1!!

It wouldn't be baseball without the cotton candy and Hot dogs.

And last but not least...The copstache. Brian was very jealous. haha

She's too big!

Ok, this is going to be the first of many posts for the next week or so at LEAST! I feel like I never have anything to blog, but i've gotten the camera out a lot lately so I have a ton of pictures. And I figure if I start posting again, certain people will stop bugging me about it. So I think I'll start with.....

Hailee lost her first tooth! I was so surprised. I totally didn't think it was time to start losing teeth yet, but when she came up to me and showed me, I immediately started crying! It just seems like such a big girl thing to do and I'm not ready!! But the poor girl just stood there and said "Mom, why are you freaking out?" She's so funny! Anyway, it came out about 2 days later while she was eating cereal, and we never found it. I'm thinking she may have swallowed it. So she wrote a letter to the tooth fairy telling her that she lost her tooth, but she can't find it and put it uner her pillow. The tooth fairy left her about $3.85 or something. It was all the money she had on her at the time. haha. The second one was QUITE a bit trickier though! It was loose for at least 2 weeks! We were constantly telling her to "work that tooth" and Brian had to finally pull it out with dental floss. By the time we got it out she didn't even have the big gap because both big teeth are growing in. Oh well. Isn't she cute??

K, keep coming by! I have lots more to update. I just want to save some good stuff for later!! And now that I said it, I HAVE to do it!
